Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the Educational Programs Manager designs, implements, and manages educational programs for children and families, and manages the scheduling and confirmation of group tours of the museum’s collections and exhibitions. Develops, manages, and conducts weekend studio workshops, Artful Stories, author events, and other special events for children ages 3-17 and their families. Develops and manages Camp Carlos Summer Program for 7-17 year olds. Hires and supervises practicing professional artists for workshop leaders. Manages budgets, purchases of materials, payments for artists, and event participant registration. Writes promotional copy for children’s and family programs for use in printed pieces, the museum’s website, and in electronic fliers. Updates related sections of Museum website using a content management system. Utilizes various forms of social media to promote Museum programs. Maintains statistics on tours and other events. Researches collections and exhibitions for use in writing copy for gallery guides and other educational materials as necessary. Assists with other departmental and Museum events as needed. Some weekend work is required. Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in fine arts, art education, or a related field. Three years of related experience including teaching or working with children.
