The Coordinator of Internships and Fellowship Programs is a part-time (21 hours a week) position that reports directly to the Manager of Internships and Fellowship Programs in the Division of Education and Public Programs. This coordinator will assist in the creation, administration, and implementation of the Museum’s internships and fellowship programs. Responsibilities include co-coordinating the Museum Studies Internship Program (processing applications, interviewing students, and organizing summer activities) and co-coordinating the Museum’s new fellowship programs. Other responsibilities might include overseeing correspondence, scheduling guest speakers, and completing a variety of administrative duties. Successful applicants will have a personality that is naturally inclined towards mentoring, nurturing, and advising college/graduate students about potential museum careers.

Qualified candidates will have a BA (Art History or Fine Arts preferred) or BFA; graduate work in Art History, Fine Arts, or Arts Administration desirable, and 1 to 3 years of museum experience.   Position required strong organizational talents with the ability to maintain multiple projects at any one time while maintaining attention to details.  Excellent communication skills and creativity with demonstrated problem-solving abilities desired.   Must have availability to work evenings and weekends.
