Under the general direction of the Coordinator of Visitor Services, the full-time, benefit-eligible Assistant Coordinator for Membership has overall responsibility for coordinating the various elements of membership sales, renewals and programs at Old Sturbridge Village. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: • Act as the main membership service representative for OSV. Maintain accurate membership records and develop practices to ensure an organized database. • Manage membership sales process, set membership goals and track results. Evaluate current membership level/benefits in an effort to increase profitability and encourage donors. Conduct weekly reporting of membership sales to staff. • Maintain website information pertaining to membership, member-only programs and membership benefits. • Keep current on all OSV programs, exhibits, special events and activities. Assist with all aspects of Admissions, Program and Special Events Ticketing as well as Education/School Group Visits. • Plan and facilitate member events such as Friends’ Day, Member’s Shopping Night, Dog Days, Garden Thyme and Closer Look. • Respond to members’ questions/ concerns submitted via phone, email and website in a timely fashion. Conduct follow-up with guests post-visit to encourage membership sales. • Provide membership sales training for Visitor Services staff as well as other OSV partners. • Follow established procedures for handling cash, negotiables and related records to safeguard OSV’s finances against loss. • Consolidate daily admission revenue for accounting, calculate daily accounting reports and maintain related records. • Oversee primary operators of OSV phone system. • Provide the best experience possible for all visitors. • Perform other duties as assigned.
