Reporting jointly to the Interim Executive Director (IED) and to the Interim Director of Development (IDD)–pending the hire of a new Deputy Director for External Affairs–the Head of the Corporate Program is a key member of deCordova’s Development team, charged with the strategic and creative management of deCordova’s Corporate Member and Art Loan Programs. Responsible for stewarding and expanding the pools of both current and prospective Corporate Members and Lending Artists, identifying and cultivating key corporate partners for major support of deCordova programs, projects and needs.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee deCordova’s Corporate Program staff and activities in support of an Art Lending program goal of raising over $700K/annum in Corporate Program revenue;
Build and maintain relationships with key Corporate Member contacts and connect Corporate Members meaningfully with deCordova and its mission and with the region’s community of artists;
Manage Corporate Program systems and processes, including:
– Corporate Member and Lending Artist research, recruitment, and tracking;
– Corporate Member contracting, invoicing, gift posting and acknowledgment;
– Lending Artist contracting and stewardship;
– Art Loan coordination (including selection, installation, and rotation);
– Art Loan Collection management, tracking, storage, and transportation;
– Special event/program design and execution;
Promote the Corporate Program and its benefits throughout Greater Boston’s corporate and art communities via creative, multi-channel marketing, business to business networking, strategic partnerships, and special events and programs that highlight the Program’s benefits for participating artists and businesses;
Support and utilize senior staff and volunteer leadership (including the trustee Development Committee and the Corporate Advisory Group) to steward the Corporate Program internally and externally;
Work with the ED, IDD, and Finance Department to maintain accurate income and expense records, projected cash flow reports, and the Corporate Program line item in the budget;
Oversee the timely production and distribution of all research, proposals, contracts, reports, acknowledgments, meeting materials, and Raisers Edge records related to the Corporate Program;
Ensure consistent and timely communication throughout the Development Department and to the ED and IDD regarding Corporate Member contact and activity;
Maintain professional growth and development through self-directed learning and through seminars, workshops, and conferences (as institutional budget allows);
This position requires additional evening, weekend, and early morning hours in support of department events and meetings.
This position is full-time, salaried, exempt and benefits eligible.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred;
Minimum of 3 – 5 years corporate development and/or membership sales experience, including 1 – 2 years in management capacity, preferably in cultural institution;
Familiarity with the corporate development process, development operations, prospect management techniques, and relationship management software;
Knowledge of contemporary art and artists preferred.
Proven track record of working effectively with board members and other volunteer leaders.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in person, on the telephone, and in writing with supervisors, staff, trustees, and donors.
Strong planning, strategic and organizational skills to effectively coordinate and prioritize workload.
Strong written communication skills, ability to compose correspondence to high level donors with accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Gmail. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge database software highly desirable; knowledge and experience with collections database software a plus.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor while working under pressure and against deadlines.
Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
