Title: Temporary Human Resources Manager

Department: Finance and Administration

Supervisors: Chief Financial/Chief Operating Officer and Controller

Position Status: Temporary, hourly non-exempt

3 days per week for approximately 10-12 weeks, October – December

Applicable Physical Capabilities: General mobility throughout museum

Overview:
The Temporary HR Manager will oversee the delivery of services, policies, and programs related to the ICA’s Human Resources function with the goal of maintaining a productive, high performance and quality oriented work culture. The Temporary HR Manager will administer the programs and policies in the areas of Employment, Benefits, Compensation and Performance Management.

Specific responsibilities will include:

· Recruiting and Staffing:

Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, place open position advertisements to various recruiting sites, participate in interviews, check references, make job offers to selected candidates and assist with compensation negotiation when required.

· Employee orientation and development:

Manage employee on-boarding process to introduce new employees to the organization. Organize quarterly All Staff meetings.

· Employee Relations:

Coach and counsel employees and managers to resolve performance or personnel issues.

· Compliance

Ensure ongoing compliance with current and new employment regulatory requirements to include WISP, CORI, DOL Reporting, etc. Maintain employee records in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and good employee recordkeeping practices.

• Management and coordination of Intern program:

Assist department managers to identify internship needs, recruit interns and manage intern program.

· Compensation and Benefits Administration:

Work with CFO/COO to recommend compensation for new hires, performance and merit increases. Assist with administering employee benefit plans such as health, dental, vision, flexible spending, life, disability and 403b plans. Maintain compliance and reporting

· Additional Responsibilities as directed by the CFO/COO or Controller

Qualifications:

Qualifications Include:

· Two years of experience in a Human Resources or related department

· Understanding of current state and federal employment law and regulatory requirements

· Familiarity with employee benefit administration

· Sense of discretion and sensitivity with employee issues

· Flexibility and ability to prioritize simultaneous projects
