An exciting opportunity is available for a Digital Project Manager to work on a ten (10) month assignment in preparation for the opening of the new Whitney Museum building. Reporting to the Director of Digital Media, the Digital Project Manager serves as the primary point of managerial contact between the museum’s Digital Media department and external contractors and vendors charged with delivering hardware, software, and other components of the museum’s digital projects. Major management initiatives will include the expansion of the museum’s existing online collection, as well as the development of digital products that relate to the museum’s new building project.

Requirements: B.A.; 5+ years digital project management experience, preferably in a creatively-driven institution or work environment; strong professional history of delivering websites, apps, and related digital products on time and on budget; strong working experience with lean/agile development methodologies; ability to manage and meet deadlines; strong, clear communication skills; strong interpersonal, writing and editing skills; excellent administrative and organizational skills; passion for contemporary culture and the visual arts.
