Join a Curatorial Team challenged to create a deeper understanding of American art within our visitorship and communities by enhancing and refining our presentation of American art with emphasis toward making art more accessible and engaging to all.
Crystal Bridges is growing its team to focus on conceiving, researching, developing, and supporting initiatives that advance the Museum’s vision, mission, values, and strategic plan. All members of this team will play a role in activating diverse initiatives including research, scholarship, acquisition, publishing, exhibition development and interpretation.
To augment our team of five, the Museum is recruiting all levels of the Curatorial department including Curatorial Assistant, Assistant Curator, Associate Curator, and Curator.
The team will work together to create an organization that transforms lives through experiences that foster the discovery of new ideas, expanded dreams and inspired actions. Successful candidates will thrive in a dynamic team-based environment; have a willingness to experiment; an inclination to closely collaborate with Educators and other stakeholders; and a dedication to excellence. The Museum is seeking candidates who strive to ignite in others a passion to enjoy, learn, and experience art using both traditional and unique methodologies.
Opened to the public on 11-11-11, Crystal Bridges was founded in 2005 by the Walton Family Foundation. To date, the Museum has welcomed nearly 1.5 million visitors and garnered more than 7,500 households in its membership. 60,000 schoolchildren have taken part in the Museum’s school visit program and a volunteer corps of over 450 active volunteers provide hours of dedicated service.
With approximately 2,400 objects, Crystal Bridges’ permanent collection spans five centuries of American masterworks ranging from the Colonial era to the current. The permanent collection is on view year-round and is further enhanced by an array of ongoing temporary exhibitions.
