Traveling Programs teaches science outreach programs to schools, libraries, and community organizations throughout New England and serves over 100,000 people annually.  We offer over 25 different programs on a wide variety of science subjects such as chemistry, physics, weather, animal biology, astronomy, and engineering.  Education  Associates research, develop, and present offsite school and public programs to students, teachers, volunteers and the general public that contain accurate and relevant science principles and concepts in a way that both educates and inspires further interest in science.
DIMENSIONS:

  • Learn about four Traveling Programs per year until their manager decides their retinue is sufficient
  • Teach Traveling Programs 3 days per week, 1-4 sessions per day, 16-250 people per session
  • Drive 5,000 miles per year to reach sites served
  • Assist with development of elements that add to current and new programs such as new demonstrations, activities, and media content

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 35 hours/week, Monday-Friday. The hours are tremendously variable depending on teaching assignments and travel time, and can vary week to week.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

  • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree preferred.
  • More than 1 year of teaching experience.
  • Up to date drivers license with a clean record required.
  • Building and shop experience preferred.

STARTING SALARY:

Non-Exempt (Hourly). Commensurate with experience.
