The Hunterdon Art Museum seeks a part-time Director of Development to create and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet short and long term fundraising goals and, in particular, to establish a robust program of individual giving.The Director of Development’s responsibilities include all aspects of fundraising including grants, special events, major gifts, and campaigns. This position requires identifying, researching and pursuing new opportunities for funding from individuals, foundations, and corporations and ensuring overall funder compliance.

The successful candidate will have significant fundraising experience, excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and be able to handle multiple priorities. Strong major donor and capital campaign experience is preferred. Familiarity with the visual arts is a plus.

The Hunterdon Art Museum presents more than a dozen exhibitions of contemporary art, craft, and offers more than 300 studio courses annually. Founded in 1952, it is located in Clinton, New Jersey, 55 miles from New York City and 60 miles from Philadelphia. The Museum is housed in an 1836 mill that is on the National Historic Register.
