The Smithsonian American Art Museum is seeking applications for a full-time permanent curator of photography who will be responsible for overseeing the museum’s collection of 7,000+ photographs. The photography curator will be expected to develop and implement groundbreaking exhibition projects, nurture relationships with collectors, donors, and dealers that lead to acquisitions by gift and purchase, and publish significant research in the field of American photography.
