Hollins University, a nationally focused, independent, and accredited liberal arts university, nestled against the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the city of Roanoke, Virginia, has reopened the search for the director of its art museum – the Eleanor D. Wilson Museum. Hollins University was founded in 1842 as Virginia’s oldest chartered women’s college. Its 475 acre campus is home to approximately 800 students who are offered undergraduate education for women, selected coeducational graduate programs, and robust community outreach initiatives. The successful candidate for the museum’s director will lead the visionary and innovative management of its purpose-built art museum.

The Eleanor D. Wilson Museum houses and exhibits a growing permanent collection of contemporary and multicultural art that supports and advances the university’s educational mission. Its director reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
