Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh seeks a Director of Development for Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies and tactics to generate restricted and unrestricted support from foundations, corporations, governments, and individuals.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of five years of demonstrated success in non-profit fundraising is required. Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Position requires an understanding of relationship building with donors and prospects; familiarity with non-profit budgeting processes; initiative; strong attention to detail; strategic planning skills; discretion in handling confidential information; and ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of natural history/science or a museum background is desirable. Familiarity with Pittsburgh funding community a plus.
