Palo Alto Art Center, Children¹s Fine Art Program Coordinator
(Theater/Arts Professional I)
About the Palo Alto Art Center

The Palo Alto Art Center provides an accessible and welcoming place
where the community engages with art. The Center¹s mission is to foster
creative process and thought by forging a greater appreciation and
understanding of the visual arts through exhibitions, studio
experiences, and related educational programs. The Art Center believes
that this is best achieved by connecting the experience of viewing art
with a direct involvement in making art. The Art Center serves
approximately 70,000 people every year through a diverse range of
programs.

Currently, the Palo Alto Art Center is undergoing a substantial $7.9
million transformation of its facilities, expected to be complete in
fall 2012. During the transformation, local residents are participating
in the Art Center¹s innovative On the Road programs, which bring the
Center¹s popular and acclaimed ³see and make² approach to the arts
directly into the community.
