Museum Educator – The Museum of Jewish Heritage: A Living Memorial to the
Holocaust

The Museum of Jewish Heritage — A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is
seeking a Museum Educator.

Responsibilities of this position include coordinating the Gallery Education
program, conducting ongoing evaluation of Gallery Educator tours and
providing feedback to individual Gallery Educators. Assigning and
supervising weekly tour shifts as well as weekly walk-up tours, greeting and
facilitating group entry, directing floor traffic in the galleries and
supervising group use of the classrooms. Debriefing with Gallery Educators
after tours, plan training and in-service programming with Director of
Education, and recognition events with Director of Human Resources.
Scheduling additional Education staff support of Gallery Education program
responsibilities. Reporting on programs and developing and maintain timeline
and budgets. Fostering the relationship among Gallery Educators and the
institution. Administering formal annual evaluation of Gallery Educators.
Developing and implement Gallery Education protocol and procedure and
developing and producing newsletters, fliers, and other on-going
informational materials as needed.

Requirements: BA in Judaic studies, history, museum education, or related
field required; MA preferred; at least 3- 5 years professional experience in
informal and/or museum education, proficient in object-based education.
Candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Successful candidate will also be proficient with computers, highly
motivated, energetic and organized. Must be able to work Sunday-Thursday.
