The Chrysler Museum of Art seeks applicants for a one-year fellowship in our Curatorial Department.

 

The fellow will have the opportunity to engage in all facets of curatorial work, including exhibitions, museum collections study and presentation and research. Along with Curatorial and Exhibitions staff, the fellow will address institutional priorities in exhibition selection and presentation (for exhibitions organized both in-house and by others) and collections research. S/He will act as a point person, where assigned, for exhibition coordination with other museum departments, including Exhibitions, Communications, Education, and Facilities. S/He will respond to public and scholarly inquiries, and assist with the research and creation of databases, checklists, and indices for collections, exhibitions, and publications.

Job Requirements

  • MA in Art History is required.  Previous Museum experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a knowledge of world languages (particularly French) and expertise in areas related to the Museum’s collection, especially in the areas contemporary art or contemporary glass.
