Associate Director for Finance, Projects and Planning

The Jewish Museum of Maryland, an AAM accredited museum and significant national historic site, seeks candidates for an Associate Director for Finance, Projects and Planning. Serving as the museum’s chief administrative officer, this position oversees the museum’s business, finance, facilities, capital projects, community relations and all related planning activities. She/he is a member of the executive management team, supporting the Board’s finance and facilities committees as well as ad hoc Board and Associated task forces on community relations and strategic planning. The Associate Director assists the executive director with the integration and organization of museum-wide and project-specific budgets, schedules and human resource deployment.

JMM is seeking candidates with an MA in management or an MA in history, Jewish Studies, museology or related field. Preference is for candidates with at least 10 years of non-profit management experience with increasing responsibility for staff, projects and budgets. The successful candidate will need strength in quantitative analysis as well as excellent written communication skills. This is a four-day per week position with flexibility in hours and eligible for benefits.
