The Audience Research Associate position works with the Audience Research Manager in the Membership and Visitors Services Department to implement research and evaluation projects for exhibitions, programs, and other activities at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  The Audience Research Associate plays an important role in the collection, entering, and cleaning of data to create accurate reports on various audience research data.  This position participates in data collection in Museum spaces by interviewing visitors and conducting surveys, as well as oversees survey field operations, including survey staff schedules. Friday night and weekend work as required by survey operations.

Qualified candidates will have a B.A./B.S., preferably in a field related to audience/market research or evaluation (e.g., psychology, education, statistics, business, marketing, etc.) paired with strong analytical and mathematical skills.  Computer skills include: proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; working knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Access, and SPSS Statistics or similar.  Must have the ability to interact with the public, specifically confidence and skill in interviewing visitors about their experiences at the Museum.  Ability to stand for two hours at a time while conducting surveys.
