SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Manage and oversee implementation of Project IMPACTS (Increasing Mentor Participation and Commitment to Success) in participating Clubhouses, including site selection, developing and delivering training materials for Clubhouse staff and mentors, and developing evaluation and assessment tools and techniques. Develop relationships with professional organizations with an interest in mentoring, and identify and share best practices throughout the Clubhouse Network. Manage project budget, deliverables, and reporting requirements to U.S. Department of Justice, identify additional sources of support over time, and serve as the Computer Clubhouse Network’s primary spokesperson on issues of mentor effectiveness, participating in community forums and conferences to establish the Computer Clubhouse as a leader in the field of STEM mentoring.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 100 Clubhouses worldwide with mentor activities (recruiting, training, managing, retaining)
  • 25 Computer Clubhouse RFP responses expected
  • 5 Clubhouses selected to participate in Project IMPACTS
  • 30 mentors in participating Clubhouses, reaching 150-200 youth per Clubhouse
  • 1-3 social media announcements/posts weekly related to mentor experience and impact (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, Clubhouse Village, website)
  • 15+ external partnerships to develop and maintain (national organizations/companies, DOJ program staff, prospective funders)
  • 12 mentor training and professional development curriculum modules created and disseminated
  • 5 site visits to Clubhouses participating in Project IMPACTS

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is grant-funded, full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.

REPORTS TO:

Director, Intel Computer Clubhouse Network

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts and additional course work preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of grant program management and youth development/mentoring experience.
  • Experience with program evaluation and assessment
  • Experience managing multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and ensuring they are on-time and on-budget
  • Experience developing and delivering training materials and workshops
  • Experience with mentoring/youth development program development and/or implementation
  • Excellent team-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

STARTING SALARY:

Exempt (Salaried). Commensurate with experience.
