Director of Development Hill-Stead Museum Farmington, CT Hill-Stead Museum seeks a full time Director of Development, reporting to the Executive Director and CEO. This position is responsible for: the oversight, planning and implementation of all fund development activities; building and maintaining strong relationships with individuals, organizations, corporations, foundations, and other major donors; and fostering a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization. The Director will collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Board committees, and key volunteers. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement Fund Development Plan to support capital needs, programs, operations, endowment; Oversee Membership and Annual Fund to increase donor solicitation, acquisition and retention; Cultivate grant opportunities and oversee grant research and tracking; Execute successful fundraising events and programs by identifying effective event chairpersons, attracting and retaining corporate sponsorships, and planning and implementing all events; Develop and implement planned giving campaign; Oversee donor/member communications and production of annual report; Manage department budget.
