Gain a hands-on, working knowledge of the logistics and organization of educational programming at a century-old New England art museum and art association. Study with professional artists on Cape Cod, learn general office skills, and experience working both as a team and independently in a non-profit organization.
Daily responsibilities include:
• Assisting teaching artists and students
• Overseeing studio maintenance & materials
• Completing office work
• Promoting and marketing, including graphic design & brochure distribution
• Providing support for openings, lectures and exhibitions including event set up & breakdown, public speaking, & photographic documentation
Qualifications:

Valued attributes of qualifying interns include the ability to: pitch in and help during varied circumstances; operate intelligently, responsibly and independently; maintain a sense of humor. Knowledge of PCs and Macs, Microsoft Office, InDesign, and/or Constant Contact helpful. Some physical work is required.

This position is open to college and graduate students, as well as those who have recently graduated, with majors in art, art history, arts administration, museum studies, arts education and similar fields. Interns are asked to make a commitment of two to three months, at 15-30 hours per week. For summer internships, a commitment to the entire length of the program is required (June-August). Orientation generally takes place during the second week of June and is required.
