The Larz Anderson Auto Museum has been operating as a center for cultural and educational programs since 1949. The mission of this 501 C(3) nonprofit institution is to educate the community and our visiting patrons on the importance of the automobile throughout history and the impact that the car makes on society to this day. Through educational programs, lawn events and lectures the museum has educated the community on this subject As a nonprofit we rely on the help of volunteers and interns to help ensure the longevity of our museum and our success. The museum is looking for students interested in history, education, preservation and museum activities to intern at the museum for the Fall. We need individuals who can help us with our many lawn events throughout the fall, to assist with our EBAY store and to help organize our research library. This program is an unpaid volunteer internship opportunity that exposes interns to the inner workings of a small nonprofit museum, promoting an awareness of careers in the field through experiences not available in most academic settings.
