Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Corporate Relations and Special Events Manager is responsible for the management, coordination, and implementation of the Museum’s corporate development and special events objectives in accordance with the Institutional Advancement operating plan. Duties will include bu are not limited to the following: Develop and execute donor stewardship and cultivation events, programs, and activities designed to reinforce the Museum’s mission, to steward existing donors, and to inspire higher levels of philanthropic support.Conduct research to identify potential corporate partners, assist in the development of prospect lists, and strategize with leadership to develop action plans to move prospective partnerships forward; Solicit corporate and donor support for the Museum.Communicate with corporate partners, vendors, and other community contacts by phone, email, and in face-to-face meetings, individually or as part of a strategized team approach; Prepare corporate sponsorship proposals and fulfillment packages for corporate sponsorships as directed. Maintain system for managing corporate sponsor stewardship, cultivation, and overall corporate relations.

Job Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree required

SKILLS
At least 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in the fund development or closely related activities of a non-profit organization with strong ability to achieve fundraising goals
Ability to read/write/speak and communicate in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write standard development communication pieces (including direct solicitation pieces, acknowledgments, proposals, letters of inquiry, cover letters and general correspondence), grant proposals, and general interest articles. A writing sample will be requested.
Grant writing experience preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, Graphic design experience; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Raiser’s Edge
Organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects and tasks; good time management skills; ability to meet deadlines; Ability to maintain composure under time constraints
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups of people
Energetic and enthusiastic team player. Also able to work independently.
Able to work some weekday evenings and weekends as needed.
Valid Hawaii Drivers License – must be able to drive for work purposes
