House Manager

Description:
The House Manager is a key player in the visitor experience at the Museum of Fine Arts, managing films, lectures and courses, concerts, and public programs for nearly 100,000 visitors each year. Public Programs at the MFA hosts over 800 events a year with a diverse range in programming including international and local film series, seven major annual film festivals, world music and indie rock concert series, art history and celebrity lectures, and much more.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Member and Visitor Services, the House Manager manages all aspects of front of house operations for Remis and Alfond Auditoria, select seminar rooms and the Calderwood Courtyard. Working closely with multiple departments, the House Manager develops strategies and logistics to ensure smooth crowd control, same-day ticketing, and theater access. This position directly manages the Assistant House Manager, box office staff, and an usher pool of 40 volunteers.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will demonstrate proven leadership and managerial experience in a fast-paced and demanding customer service house management environment. Must be able to communicate effectively across the organization and to a diverse population of MFA members and visitors. Tessitura experience preferred.
