Development Associate

Description:
Under the direction of the Director, Leadership Gifts, and the Director, Institutional Relations, the Development Associate supports two key program areas within Development spanning work with individual, corporate, foundation and government donors. The Development Associate provides high-level support including the coordination of a Leadership Gifts solicitation roadmap and the extraction of data for reports, the compilation of event lists and budget activity for both teams, the drafting of correspondence to individuals and foundations, support of mailings to corporate partners, and other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of one to three years of office experience, preferred, as well as a general knowledge of non-profit fundraising. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong professional demeanor and interpersonal skills. Excellent writer. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments and work in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to work both independently and as a team player. Solid working knowledge of PC-based Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required; high level of comfort with database systems and an ability to extract data for the purpose of management reporting.
