Web Developer
Description:
Reporting to the Director of Applications and working in close coordination with the Senior Web Developer, IT Portfolio and Project Planning, Creative Services and web site section owners, the Web Developer will enhance and support the world-class Museum web sites to best utilize our web platform tools and services and to provide new sections, features and capabilities. The Web Developer will support mfa.org, MFA for Educators and the display of information on large video screens, pylons and printed reports. Development efforts will require working with modules, themes, blocks, views, permissions, and other aspects of Drupal, as well as writing PHP code to provide unique program logic and advanced features. The Web Developer will also provide support for bug fixes, maintenance tasks, and enhancements to mfa.org and related websites, tracking bug resolution in the designated bug database. This role will also contribute to enhancement and upgrade projects, provide Google Analytics tagging support, and perform a variety of other technical tasks needed to maintain a stable, responsive website.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this job will possess a high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting prowess, a willingness and ability to learn new technologies rapidly, and a strong work ethic. Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Primary, must-have technical skills include: 1 to 3 years of Drupal, PHP, mySQL, HTML, CSS and JQuery. Experience with Agile project management, Drupal Commerce, JavaScript Frameworks, Drush, Apache web server, Linux operating system, and Git would be helpful.
