Established in 1894, the Nantucket Historical Association (NHA) owns 21 historic properties from four centuries of settlement on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. In an effort to consolidate the institutional records relating to those properties, the NHA is seeking a records management intern to sort, organize, re-house, and describe records relating to its collection of properties. The ideal candidate will have completed graduate archival studies and have: knowledge of current and emerging trends for analog and digital records and information management practices, an understanding of archival principles of arrangement and description and knowledge of archival best practices, as well as relevant experience. Housing is provided, plus a stipend of $2500 for the ten-week period September 14-November 20, 2015. (Dates are somewhat flexible).
