Curatorial Department Coordinator

Description:
The ICA’s Curatorial Department Coordinator provides administrative support to the ICA’s curatorial department and helps to ensure efficient processes, effective communication and smooth departmental operations. He/she serves as executive assistant to Barbara Lee Chief Curator, providing prompt and consistent support by booking travel, managing calendar and fielding contact requests. He/she assists Exhibitions Manager with management of departmental budget and with calendar of exhibitions and project deadlines. Coordinates logistics for ICA exhibition project meetings, committee meetings and departmental meetings. Processes financials, credit card statements and reimbursement requests. Organizes department files. Responds to inquiries and traveling exhibition proposals.
Qualifications:
BA or BS degree, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of office/administrator experience. Some non-profit or museum experience preferred. Experience with budgets, financial statements and/or bookkeeping preferred. Excellent organizational skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and an exceptional attention to detail. Ability to multitask, respond quickly and prioritize multiple important projects. Knowledge of full Microsoft office suite; Adobe creative suite a plus. Ability to operate office equipment and general mobility throughout the building required. Full-time schedule is 40 hours per week on-site, and occasional events as required.
