Position Summary: The Trustees of Reservations are seeking a full-time Senior Membership Services Associate working out of our Long Hill property in Beverly. Reporting to the Membership Services Manager, this position requires strong interpersonal and computer skills, customer service experience, and courtesy and politeness to professionally represent The Trustees of Reservations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • On a daily basis, downloads and imports online giving and membership transactions
  • Accurately processes membership applications received via mail, phone, and internet
  • Accurately produces acknowledgement letters in a timely manner
  • Actively participates in Membership Workgroup and provides back up for Operator workgroup
  • Provides exceptional customer service to members via phone, email, and in-person
  • Promotes full range of benefits to prospective members and guides them through the application process
  • Maintains knowledge of current policy and educates members when needed
  • Researches and resolves issues concerning memberships
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation
Qualifications:

  • Associates degree and at least five years customer-service experience
  • Nonprofit or membership experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar database
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A team player with a strong commitment to work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, and partners
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • A proactive problem solver with excellent research and deductive reasoning skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and establish and meet deadlines
