Group Sales Coordinator, Reservations

Description:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Visitor Operations, the Group Sales Coordinator, Reservations coordinates group sales order processing. Essential functions include: coordinate the receipt and processing of incoming reservations via phone/fax/e-mail/online; serve as the liaison between the group contacts and all other Museum departments; respond to and resolve customer service or ticketing issues as necessary; create daily schedule of visits and distribute to appropriate departments; greet all groups on arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in; answer questions from groups concerning the details of their visit and act as an on-the-spot troubleshooter in the Museum for problems with group reservations; coordinate with Marketing and Education departments to maintain the group tour information and online reservations sections of mfa.org; manage admission pass request programs; train new employees on all aspects of phone and ticketing system operations. 35 hours/week; varied schedule – evening and weekend hours will be required, as necessary, to meet visitor demands.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, along with three or more years of related experience. Additional qualifications include: strong customer service skills, relationship management skills and teamwork experience; good judgment and ability to make decisions independently; experience handling and maintaining confidential data; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including spreadsheet and database experience.
