Norman Rockwell Museum is seeking an experienced museum educator and administrator who will lead new and ongoing programmatic and strategic initiatives. Works closely with the Deputy Director/Chief Curator and Curator of Education to guide and implement the Museum’s on-site, community outreach, and digital/distance programming, identifying and facilitating new learning modalities for audiences of all ages and interests. School and family programs, community-based initiatives, teacher and scholarly symposia and public forums, and Common Core curriculum development relating to the art of Norman Rockwell and the field of illustration are among this position’s most significant tasks. QUALIFICATIONS; BA required; Master’s degree preferred; Five years of experience in museum education or related field; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Experience in managing and training staff; Fluency in digital learning practices; Knowledge of and proven skills in principles and practices of museum education, curriculum, development and transmedia education, and research and evaluation; Experience with grant writing.
