Event Set Up Staff

Description:
The Worcester Art Museum has a part-time opening for a support staff to complete set-up and dismantling of tasks along with other event operation needs.  Duties include arriving promptly and dressed in accordance with event requirements to move tables and chairs, sweep, vacuum, etc.  During event, support staff will stock bar supplies, monitor event area, and ensure restrooms are clean for guest comfort and safety.
Qualifications:
Support staff must have the ability to follow direction, safely lift at least 50 pounds and negotiate stairs, work within a secure environment, engage positively with diverse groups of people in a public setting, and react to changing needs and demands in a positive way.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.  High school diploma or G.E.D. and previous event experience preferred.  Position requires frequent lifting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.  Candidates must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and availability to work a flexible schedule (afternoon/evening/weekend hours).  Offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical and back screening.
