Business & Finance Manager [Mobius Children’s Museum & Science Center, Spokane, WA]

Mobius Spokane is looking for a talented individual to help lead the finance & business functions for the organization. Mobius Spokane consists of two individual facilities, Mobius Children’s Museum and Mobius Science Center. The Business & Finance Manager currently answers to the CEO and is part of the leadership team for the organization. The Business & Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial tracking, reporting, and execution of financial strategies for the organization. Responsibilities also include HR management, the ability to create timely and accurate financial reports, work with the CEO to establish internal controls, and adherence to GAAP, and to oversee the business functions of the organization. The perfect candidate will be flexible, innovative, and willing to be part of a team dedicated to the mission and vision of Mobius. This position will be the staff leader for the Finance Committee and will act as liaison between the committee and the staff.

The perfect candidate should be willing to learn the current “best practices” of the museum and science center field. This position will help build a new and sustainable organization that reflects the community of Spokane and the Inland Northwest Region, a community in transition.  The perfect candidate will also be a “hands on” individual, willing to wear multiple hats as needed in a growing organization. The perfect candidate should be self guided and motivated, but also be comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment, and be comfortable taking the time to be out with our audiences to stay in touch with the communities we serve. This position will also be asked to be one of the public faces of Mobius Spokane, and be an ambassador in the community.
