Program Assistant

Paul Revere Memorial Association/Paul Revere House, Boston, MA

The Association seeks a candidate for the position of Program Assistant. Primary duties include: conducting and helping to develop education programs and teacher workshops; managing our gift shop operation — inventory control and ordering for the gift shop and on-line sales; administrative support – ordering supplies, and providing administrative and light bookkeeping support for the Director; coordinating membership and maintaining fundraising records; and assisting with other projects as needed. This position also includes regular handling of admissions, shop sales and interpretation in the museum. Regular work schedule will be Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday along with occasional holidays. Qualifications: B.A., (MA preferred) with 2 years of office or museum experience, good communications and organizational skills, relevant computer skills, a sense of humor, ability to work cooperatively, comfortable interacting with visitors and teaching classes of all ages, and an interest in working in a museum setting. (Bookkeeping skills a plus.) This position is a full time salaried position and includes health insurance, paid holidays and vacation, disability and life insurance, and retirement.
