Stage Manager (non-union) – Immersive Theatre Project in Historic House, Salem MA

Description:
The Peabody Essex Museum seeks a non-union Stage Manager for an immersive theatre experience within the Gardner-Pingree House, a storied historic home built in Salem in 1804.
“All at Once Upon a Time” is a small-group experience of discovery for the inquiring and adventuresome. Produced and directed by Giselle Ty, a freelance opera and theatre director based in NY and London who is known for performances described as “aesthetically visceral, intellectually challenging, and emotionally unafraid.”
Schedule (subject to change, can be flexible):

  • Nov. 12 – Nov. 24: Rehearsals (generally 4pm-8pm on weekdays, some daytime Saturdays).
  • Nov. 30 – Dec 8: Load-in/Tech
  • Dec 9 & 10: Dress Rehearsals

PERFORMANCES – Friday 12/11 at 7:30pm and Saturday 12/12 at 5pm and 8pm. Possible add-on performance on Sunday 12/13. Strike on Sunday 12/13.

Qualifications:
– Stage Management students encouraged to apply
– Some stage management experience required
– Strong communication and organization skills
– Ability to think on your feet

– This project takes place in a three story house with no elevator. Must be able to make many trips up and down stairs, stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 50 lbs.
