Description

Find your true West at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West with a summer internship! A student internship with us offers specialized learning experiences in a museum setting, with options in many areas including conservation, education, curatorial, archives, registration, art, and more.  Positions are for paid 40 hour work weeks for a period of ten weeks.

The Center of the West encourages internship applications for the period from May through August 2016. Applications are due March 15, 2016.

2016 positions are:  Whitney Western Art Museum, Draper Natural History Museum, Cody Firearms Museum, Plains Indian Museum, Conservation, Live Raptor Program, Firearms Records, Archives, Photographic Archives, Institutional Records, Graphics, Public Relations, Registration, Collections, and Tour Guide and Special Programs.

Requirements

Upper level undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. We also provide internships to recent graduates.  Several materials are required for an application to include the application form, three letters of reference and a transcript (unofficial is acceptable).  We prefer to receive all application materials electronically, if that is possible.  Each internship has specific educational qualifications so view each job description at: http://centerofthewest.org/learn/internships/
