Description

Virtual Science Center is seeking an Exhibit Researcher and Content Developer for a new traveling exhibit about the science and technology of Virtual Reality. Duties include research, development of exhibit content for traveling exhibit and website, exhibit writing and editing, image and artifact acquisition, and evaluation of exhibit concepts. Other responsibilities include AV program development, review and testing. Ability to connect science concepts to a general audience science curriculum is critical.

This is a full-time position that will be compensated commensurate with experience.

The Virtual Science Center (VSC) is a recently founded non-profit located in Silicon Valley with a mission to “create interactive, informal learning experiences to educate the public about innovative technologies.” Please send letter of interest and resume to jobs@virtualsciencecenter.org.

Requirements

Preferred candidate will have a passion for emerging media technologies and experience translating science concepts into fun, interactive learning experiences. Preference for a background in engineering, computer science or digital media technology at the Master’s level or another applicable field of science. Strongest candidates will have three or more years of experience in informal science education.
