Description

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) seeks an Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications to lead the oversight and management of the reputation, brand, and marketing needs for NMAI, with public facilities on the National Mall in Washington, DC and in Lower Manhattan in New York City, with the goal of supervising the fostering of local, national, and international engagement. This position has responsibility for designing, implementing and developing both short and long range goals for strong and coordinated marketing communication strategies and implementing outreach efforts for the NMAI, and is responsible for developing communication programs and appropriate marketing strategies to increase the visibility of the museum and increase annual visitation. This position is located at the NMAI’s museum on the National Mall in Washington, DC. The Smithsonian Institution is an equal opportunity employer.
