Description
- Oversee museum’s financial operations, human resources, benefits, insurance and information technology.
- Develop and implement fundraising and cost-cutting strategies.
- Manage all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Supervise year-end audit and tax reporting, including physical inventory of retail stores.
- Oversee benefits administration, including health plan, dental, disability, workers comp, 403b, and flexible spending program.
- Provide cash and debt management.
- Preparation and monitoring museum operating budget and provide reporting and projections.
- Develop exhibition budgets with curatorial and registrarial staff.
- Report to the museum board on the operating budget.
- Work closely with the museum’s retail stores on inventory, pricing and financial management.
- Review contracts and work with outside counsel.
- Negotiate building insurance policy and coordinate insurance claims.
- Develop information technology plan with outsourced IT provider.
- Oversee the Finance Manager and IT engineer.
