Description:
Administrative

  • Assists with office duties – supplies, phone calls and messages, mail and general email.
  • Administrative tasks include enrolling students in classes, answering questions about programs, greeting visitors, etc.

Assistant Teacher

  • Substitutes for faculty or teaching assistants as needed.
  • Supervises and interacts with children during outdoor breaks and lunch.
  • Leads planned activities and games during free periods.
  • Follows emergency protocol.
  • Understands transitions during the day and supports children while cleaning up, and helps them get ready for the next activity.
  • Assists with Art Show.
    • Setup and cleanup.
    • Interacts with families.
Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or have completed college (preferably in art related field) or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in an office (preferably in a non-profit).
  • Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.
  • Professional and patient.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Prior experience working with school age children in a classroom/child care environment.
  • A willingness and ability to learn new skills.

Time Commitment:

8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday with one 30-minute break. Hours are split between classroom and office as needed. May be required to attend special events.
