The Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming, seeks candidates for a Lead Gifts Officer position to secure six-figure gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations. Must effectively build and manage an active pool of 100-150 qualified prospects. Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of face-to-face fundraising experience including donor management, cultivation, strategy development and personal solicitation.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of face-to-face fundraising experience including donor management, cultivation, strategy development and personal solicitation. Requires a demonstrated record of successfully soliciting numerous high level gifts. Minimum four-year degree, though relevant experience may qualify.

Able to understand and enthusiastically articulate the goals and vision of a complex, multi-disciplined museum; proven ability to prioritize prospects, projects, time and interests with ease; understand relationship management and apply the concept to his/her work; be personable and poised and able to work with varying personalities, backgrounds, experiences and expectations; project a professional image; experience with fundraising software; represent the Center well to various constituencies; willing and able to travel extensively.
