Description

The Financial System Administrator (FSA) provides support and training to staff throughout the Aquarium who utilize the budget and/or accounting systems. The FSA also assists in the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial and statistical reports from financial systems.  The FSA, working closely with IT, the Controller, and third party ERP/EPM representatives, assists in the design, implementation, and maintenance of system enhancements.

Core Responsibilities

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Create and maintain financial systems and user documentation
  • Create, maintain and update standard (system) financial reports and forms
  • Develop customized reports as requested by Business Operations staff

System Administration:

  • Coordinate service requests raised with software representatives to ensure timely resolution
  • Maintain system security administration activities to ensure appropriate level of access
  • Manage key and descriptive user-defined fields creation and configuration, including definition, usage, and maintenance
  • Investigate and recommend solutions for system enhancement requests
  • Perform requirements analysis and, based on conclusions, prepare functional and technical design specifications
  • Assess work processes and management decision making needs and propose more effective system solutions or tools
  • Act as a liaison between database administration, development, third party support and business units during design, development and implementation of application solutions, including managing code migration

Training and Support:

  • Train users in related systems and processes
  • Answer help desk calls and tickets
  • Support day-to-day application operations, including interfaces and integrations, printers, and other peripherals
  • Other technical support to the department as needed

Absolutely Required Skills / Knowledge / Ability / Experience or Education

  • 5+ years of experience with Dynamics GP or similar ERP and EPM (budgeting, planning, and reporting) applications
  • Experience designing security controls for process, application, interface and data migration
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Business or Engineering
  • Exceptional project planning, resource coordination and documentation skills
  • Microsoft Office/Suite proficient
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem solving skills

Desired Skills / Knowledge / Ability / Experience or Education

  • Recent experience with GP Dynamics 2010 or more current ERP and an integrated EPM application required, cloud-based preferred
