Our daily commitment to providing top-notch customer service and sharing exceptional historical information creates a challenging, yet rewarding work environment. This fast-paced setting needs an individual with great attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and an affable personality.

The Tea Room Attendant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Taking orders and serving food and beverages in a colonial costume.
  • Performing food preparation duties, such as baking muffins, plating premade pastries and preparing hot and cold beverages.
  • Bussing and cleaning duties, such as removing dishes and cups, wiping down tables, counters, seats, walls and equipment in food service areas, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station and counters, taking out the trash, and checking and cleaning the bathroom.
  • Accurately enter orders in a POS system, handle monies, credit cards and cash receipts from sales.
Qualifications:

  • Shall be able to familiarize one’s self with the popular teas and servicing procedures from 1773.
  • Ability to push a tea and food cart, carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply department to serving counters and tables.
  • Be knowledgeable of local tourist related information to provide accurate information.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with fellow CASTmembers and the general public.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and difficult people both in person and via the telephone while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.
  • Shall be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Full and part-time positions are available.

Successful candidate will need to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
