Description:
About Us: TurningArt is a Boston-based national artwork service dedicated to making quality artwork accessible to everyone. We are a group of geeky, fun-loving artophiles with a distinct lack of pretention but a preponderance of enthusiasm. Our service allows customers to discover and experience artwork in the comfort of their home or office and buy when they find something they love. TurningArt customers love that they have risk-free access to thousands of pieces of art created by artists from around the world, and TurningArtists love that they can focus on creating, while we do the work to bring their art to a whole new audience of potential art buyers. We’ve been featured on NPR, The CBS Early Show, and the Boston Globe, and have served thousands of happy customers across the country.
Qualifications:
About You: You are a recent graduate who is interested in helping artists build careers around their artwork. Coworkers would describe you as “organized” and “good with technology” and you are excited to work in a small, close-knit environment dedicated to bringing independent artwork to a global audience. You’ve longed to see the inside of a start-up company, work flexible hours, and are eager to throw your opinionated hat into the ring during intense lunch time discussions of pop culture, science, movies, and hypothetical zombie apocalypse scenarios. You’ll excel here if you can:

  • Comfortably use a variety of online tools to spread the word about, and build our artist community
  • Speak confidently with artists from around the world via email and occasionally telephone
  • Keep your detail-oriented eye on multiple tasks (conversations and research) simultaneously
  • Flexibly engage with artist community members when the need arises
  • Take initiative to help make TurningArt a better place for artists
