The Old Colony History Museum in Taunton is looking for Visitor Experience Volunteers to join our small, dedicated team. Volunteers are an essential element of the museum’s frontline by creating a friendly and comfortable environment for visitors to experience our museum and library. As a Visitor Experience Volunteer you will warmly welcome visitors as they arrive, process admissions, help with way finding, and recommend things to see and do within the museum and the area. We are seeking individuals that enjoy working with the public, have a positive attitude, excellent customer service and that are eager to make a visitor’s experience at the OCHM one to remember. You can expect to work with all ages– with tourists, members, and local residents.

Qualifications:
No special background in history is required – we will train you—but if you’d like to work in a historic setting this is the place for you! Visitor Experience Volunteers typically have one or two three-hour shifts per week; must have some flexibility to cover other shifts. Shifts are during our hours of Tuesday-Saturday 10-4. Must be available for a minimum of six months.
