The New England Quilt Museum (NEQM) seeks an experienced retail professional to increase sales in our beautiful Museum Store and ensure a visitor-centered experience at the admissions desk. Merchandising experience and exceptional customer service skills are required. Candidates must be available to open and close the Museum 3-4 days per week, including most weekends.

General responsibilities:
 Use point-of-sale system, accurately and efficiently, for all sales transactions, inventory management, reports, and visitor data
 Manage inventory control, purchasing, pricing, and stocking merchandise
 Drive business through compelling visual displays in the store and windows
 Research and recommend new merchandise to achieve income goals
 Demonstrate knowledge of NEQM offerings and programs. Promote the benefits of membership to visitors
 Additional related duties as assigned by the Executive Director
The Museum is open 10 am to 4 pm as follows: (January to April) Tuesday to Saturday and (May to  December) Tuesday to Sunday. The Museum is closed July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
Salary: Hourly, based on experience
