Adult Programs Assistant, Walters Art Museum

The Walters Art Museum has an immediate opening for an energetic
individual to provide administrative support in the Adults Programs
department by performing tasks related to the organization, development,
administration and promotion of educational programs.  Responsibilities
include developing, coordinating and implementing programming for Lunch
and Learn; coordinating event-based activities including registration,
evaluation, developing and managing receptions, arranging and scheduling
AV needs and speaker/performer preparation.   Administrative duties also
include coordinating event descriptions and entering program
descriptions in the museum’s data management system; coordinating
scheduling arrangements, reserving museum spaces and preparing work
requests, maintaining income and financial records, recording and
producing attendance stats and evaluations, developing event postcards
and distributing marketing materials; working with museum staff to
ensure programs run smoothly, attending programs when necessary; and
performing other duties as assigned.  The position reports to the
Director of Education and Public Programs.

Requirements include B.A. degree, a minimum of 2 years demonstrated
administrative experience, with background preferably in program or
events implementation in the arts or art museum.  Candidate must be
computer literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Office programs,
database experience a plus; have excellent interpersonal, customer
service, written and verbal communication skills. Must be detail
oriented, highly organized, able to meet deadlines, work collaboratively
with others and able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and
