Randi Korn & Associates, Inc., a museum consulting firm, is studying visitors’ experiences with the Math Midway 2 Go exhibition at the Cambridge Science Festival’s Science Carnival (held at the Cambridge Public Library).  Math Midway is an exhibition developed by the Museum of Mathematics that is traveling to museums and science festivals across the country.

We are hiring data collectors to collect background information from Science Carnival visitors on Saturday, April 13 from 11am to 4pm.  Data collectors will be paid $150 for their work.  We will provide training specific to this project; however, applicants must be:

  • Personable and outgoing.  Recruitment requires approaching attendees and asking them to complete a one-page survey.

  • Able to follow detailed directions. Recruiting attendees includes specific instructions which must be followed to ensure methodological reliability.

  • Dependable.  We are collecting data on just one day, so it is essential that data collectors show up on time.

Interested applicants should email your resume and cover letter to craig@randikorn.com, placing “Cambridge Data Collector” in the subject line of your email.  Your cover letter should be short and included in the body of your email.
