Salary Range: $37,221.00 – $45,931.00 Annually

Responsible for the conceptualization, design, fabrication, and installation of new exhibitions and the maintenance of existing exhibitions at the Lake County Discovery Museum and at preserves/galleries around the District. Projects include temporary exhibitions, outdoor exhibit elements, as well as small installations and element refurbishments to current exhibitions. EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in design, museum studies, fine arts, industrial technology or other field related to the development of informal learning environments. Five years experience working in a museum setting or informal learning environments. Sound knowledge of professional museum practices and standards for exhibit design set forth by the American Alliance of Museums. Proficient in the use of a variety of power tools and fabrication techniques. Graphic design skills and experience working with computer based interactives and audio visual equipment. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
