The Walker seeks a full-time, temporary fellow for the Getty Online Scholarly Catalogue Initiative (OSCI). The fellow works with Visual Arts curators to plan and implement a dynamic, sustainable online collections catalogue that focuses on new acquisitions, performing arts commissions, and works produced for artist residency projects.

The fellow assists in developing theme-based volumes of the catalogue and a list of artworks from the Walker’s collections that relate to each volume’s topic or theme. This includes extensive library and archival research, coordination of the production of new multimedia content, securing reproduction rights for images and archival documents, conducting interviews with relevant sources (artists, curators, etc.), and writing object essays.

The fellow will work with the Assistant Curator, Visual Arts department, and curatorial workgroups to conceptualize consecutive volumes of the online collection catalogue to be published every 18 months. Research current books, articles, exhibitions, interviews, and symposia to construct a firm foundation for the volume topic.
