Help the museum enter the digital realm with its exciting new project to post artifact collections online. Paid internship available (100 hours @$10/hour) for detail oriented individual to take photographs and create catalog records using PastPerfect Museum Software. Work must be completed between January-March of 2014, but there is flexibility in scheduling during normal business hours. The Robert S. Peabody Museum is one of the nation’s major repositories of Native American archaeological collections. Major collections include materials from the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, Mexico, and the Arctic, and range from Paleoindian (10,000+ years ago) to the present day. Please consider applying if you have a background in archaeology, anthropology, or museum studies. Intern must undergo full background check and complete CORI and SORI forms prior to work at the museum.
